Not a nice topic I know but a necessary one. As we age it comes to us all that death is the end. However we can all be prepared and dare I say it less scared, by talking about this universal part of life. How has death and dying changed over the years in Australia, well it's an interesting discussion for something has shifted in our White culture ( I can't speak for others being as I'm White) around death being something for nurses and hospitals and not touching us as personally as it did for our older generations. I mean in the sense that we don't dress the deceased or clean the bodies of deceased loved ones like was done a few decades before. Or do we? I would love to hear from people on their journeys with others around dying. And maybe you would be interested in joining the Dying2Learn online course through Open Learning that starts Monday the 5th of October. Check out my FB page for further information.
