I am fascinated by the celebrations people all over the world observe and Diwali or Deepavali (Festival of Lights) is a great one and inclusive of all people. This festival is the celebration of the Hindu or Indian New Year and is about reflection, and the battle of truth over evil. The rituals followed include lighting candles, spring cleaning the house, shopping for gold, gifting small gifts and sweets to family and friend and doing good for others.
But like all festivals this year Covid is an issue and people need to take care that they aren't exposing their aged loved ones to further health risks. Yes Australia is leading the way in Covid wellbeing but as individuals we still need to be cautious. So limit your aged loved one's exposure to small well known groups so you have some idea over who may be there.
And remember AFFVS is happy to visit your aged love ones for any celebration types when you can't be there to do this with

them.
